Fees

Midwifery care during pregnancy, labour/birth and postnatal care is covered by your basic level of insurance “ Grundversicherung”. Included in this are:

• 7 antenatal visits
• Care during labour and birth
• 10 postnatal visits
• 3 visits to provide support with breastfeeding.
• A minimum 100- contribution to antenatal classes

The standard charge of 320- for being on call is not included in your “Grundversicherung”. Some health insurance companies however do pay this. Discuss this with your health insurance company. Sometimes “Gemeinden” that is your local council will pay your midwives fee for being on call.
